Ed Huffman was born in Morganton, North Carolina in 1952 and grew up in Black Mountain North Carolina. He graduated from N.C. State University in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Forest Management and moved to Kentucky in March of 1975 to take a six month job with the Division of Forestry. He stayed 33 years retiring in 2007. Ed now does forestry consulting work as a professional forester. His hobby of flint knapping actually began in high school. Ed will demonstrate the art and technique of flint knapping.
